Picked up this gem. 91 2.8 5spd 97k miles. 400$. Running driving car. Is in desperate need of a tune up. and the suspension is as squishy as a water bed.

Got it to work and did a thorough inspection. Needs exhaust manifolds badly before it can be driven so made a purchase at rock auto. Manifolds are here.

I figured.... While I was working on the truck.... Might as well put in 4 shocks. 3" drop springs. 3" drop blocks. Rotors/bearings/pads. Rear backing plates and guts. Factory lsd diff. And my 18" rims :D all with parts I had in stock. Guess it's a project.... Before its even a project.

Hopefully I'll have time to work on it next week. I'll keep this updated.

Update. Leaving the drivetrain stock for a little. Just going to fix her up and get her "reliable". My buddy renderedbythor did an awesome rendering of the truck. Cant wait to get the truck up and going! Got to put a garage up at the house first. LMK what you think!?

Since the rendering. I've been reinvigorated about the white truck. It has sat for a few months. It "ran" when I parked it....... Kind of.... With a miss and really really bad exhaust leaks from the manifolds. I replaced both manifolds because one was rotted out and the other had 2 broken bolts. This weekend I was able to fix the miss replace both exhaust manifolds and get her purring like a kitten. Ill be ordering the rest of the drop this week.

Alright. Got the drop spindles and some misc odds and ends showing up this week. Today was a fun day. Found out some obnoxious news. But also got some sweet shit done.

So Nate sent me that factory radio a few months back. But it never worked. Lit up and buttons worked, but no sound. So yanked the radio and found I didn't clip in one speaker connector all the way. Turns out....... That's the ONLY speaker that works, the other 3 are kaput.... So that issue is "resolved" and now can be fixed properly.

Next on the list, I noticed that when I bought the truck, the kids had the battery disconnected. Wasn't too sure why. So since I've owned the truck I haven't had a drain until the other night. Took the truck out on a little joy ride and I noticed the clock on the radio stayed lit..... Well I was pretty "lit" too. So I went to bed. Sure as shit. Battery dead this morning. Long story short.... It's not a battery drain. It's a worn ign switch. You can pull the key in the access position which leaves the radio on. Thats a nice easy one.

Last!!!! Nate stopped by for a bit last week and brought me this MINT interior. So ****in****ing pumped. Looks sweet!!!!

And last. Got a copy of the final render. Truck is going to look awesome!

Well in my never ending battle to finish the check list of all the things this truck needs I got a couple more small things done last night to get it 100%ish road worthy.

tail lights didnt work. None of them.... So I remembered when I bought the truck the bed bolts werent installed. Looks like they lifted the bed with the ground still attached. quick little wire repair.... and vwahlaa! all the tail lights worked.

Epoxied the corner marker and replaced the bulb like Ive been wanting to do since I bought the truck. And installed an emblem in the grill that I had laying around because the one that was there was broken.

Next is steering components. and an alignment. Then a clutch and trans swap.

(I know this is all little boring nonsense, but its nice and easy to help me keep track of everything Ive done.... Sorry no LQ swap yet....)
