how do i swap air bags

yes i searched, but the search always recommends something about air bag suspension.

i bought a chevy air bag to replace my gmc one. i had put the whole s10 chevy front grille on my sonoma, and i want to complete the chevy swap with the air bag as the final touch.

got it. now i dont know how to take the air bag out of my steering wheel. i have taken out many many air bags before, always having a couple little bolts on either side of the wheel. the s10 doesnt.

how do i take out and reinstall the air bag??

There are 4 clips on back of the steering wheel that need depressed.

96/97 there is a tab/button/clip type thing in each corner to press down, you can do it with a flat head screwdriver pretty easily, but id unplug the airbag under the dash at least 30 mins before you plan on swapping since they have a capacitor in them to let them go off a couple mins after you've turned off the truck if needed

i can see the tab things on the new air bag that you are talking about, but i dont see how to get at them on my steering wheel

under the back cover there are pieces that they lock into, you have to do something with those
