I have an old LMC catalog that shows a part number but in 2022 I can't find it anywhere- it must be discontinued. I'm switching to 1993 grille/core support and need an emblem. Can you assist in making 406 Menace Great Again?

DISCONTINUED by GM, according to the dealer.
Whether or not the CK or C10 trucks have the same grille emblem, I don't know that. I've been doing performance and nothing with the factory s10 parts, until now.

I called Classic Industries (wow $$$$), NO THEY SAID, C/K Doesn't fit S10 grille. spoke with sales, they give me G5984.. then said it will not work. I'm hoping they're mistaken and someone who knows S10 inside/out knows if a c/k emblem is the same.

Order what, there's nothing but a Google link. Reading this thread you'll find I did plenty of searching clicking and calling. It's a simple emblem but seems we can't find one, even the guy who had to comment just to comment showed us C/K truck or chevy emblems. It's really not that huge of a deal it's not a showcar and not to repeat myself but classic industries and GM dealer, and LMC say discontinued. I be happy to let you order for me but there's nothing

Since you brought up Facebook have you considered looking there for one. This link is for a page that has a complete chrome grille with the impossible to find Sport Bowtie for $25

If you have the same trouble getting to it I'm having, the seller is Jeffery Klein in Elkhart, IN
BTW lose the attitude. 3 of the most knowledgeable people on here are trying sincerely to help you find something. We don't need crap in return.

I'm never over here in paint, but I wanted to read a little before I posted some pictures of my LS10 swap at my Nephews garage getting some paint work done.
So did you find your emblem?

I bought the same 1991-1993 S10/Blazer grill for my older 1989 Chevy S10, hoping to jury rig it and avoid needing to replace my heater core in order to install it (having read on S10 Forum how others simply used brackets to install it). And, I've wracked my brain trying to find the same blue bow tie that I've seen in several photos. It just doesn't seem to exist anywhere though. If someone knows where I can get this or similar chrome/blue bow tie please advise me. I've Googled, checked LMC Truck, searched eBay and Facebook already, BTW.

I just walked in from holding my new, chrome, bow tie up to my 1991-93 grill that I just installed on my older, 1989 Chevy S10. I ordered it from LMC Truck (Part# 29-5045 ), where I've bought lots of stuff for my restoration. Thanks to posts here, I learned that I did NOT have to swap out the radiator core, and readily was able to find places to screw the new grill into the existing radiator core. Saved beaucoup bucks this way. We removed the lower, metal piece that used to span above the OEM bumper, and the OEM grill, as there's a large, flange on the bottom of the 91-93 grill that covers that area instead. And, we used small grinders to cut away small areas underneath the left/right front edges of the fenders in order to allow the flange on the top of the grill to recess within the openings we created. This created a perfect, tight fit. But, like you, I'd spent many hours searching for a bow tie. Coincident to seeing your post today (6/14/23), the chrome bow tie I found arrived. It's an exact fit to the recessed area on the 91-93 grill and comes with various nuts/washers (but you order them as separate line items) to secure it from the back of the emblem. Being chrome, and not having much visibility against the chrome grill, I ordered 24k Quad Gold Leaf that is thicker than other types, that I will gild(sizing) over the bow tie, after first sanding it with 320/400 grit to create some toothiness, so my primer will stick to it. Once the primer dries, I'll then thinly apply an oil-based gild (sizing) over the surface area. It will take about an hour to get tacky, at which point I'll carefully lay the leaf over the bow tie. It will get lightly brushed, and set aside to allow the gilding to dry at which point, I'll brush off any excess and further smooth it out. While true, 24K leaf is typically not sealed, as it does not tarnish, the gold leaf company highly recommended I spray on an automotive clear coat layer to protect it better from abrasion when going through a brushless car wash. This way I'll have a gold bow tie typical of a lot of Chevy grills. I have a video showing my body tech cutting the small pieces away from the front fenders that I mentioned that I'm glad to share with you so you'd know where to make those same cuts. It took a while mainly because he made the cuts 'free handing' them. At LMC you'll see Billet Aluminum Emblems 1991-04 Chevy S10, BTW.

Not sure if picture of the 1991-93 grill installed on my 1989 S10 uploaded successfully. Here's a second photo showing how great the fit is since cutting away small portions of the metal beneath the front edges of the left/right fender, so the upper flange of the new grill would slip into the exposed, cut away area. Not major surgery but required a deft hand, cutting it free hind with small grinders. This avoided any need to spend all the time and money to replace the radiator core which is typically suggested. And, I found the exact sized, chrome bow tie that fits perfectly into the recessed area in the center of the 1991 S10 grill. I ordered both the grill and bow tie from LMC Truck.
