I'm sick of all the problems i've been having using cheap swap headers. So I found from advance adapters what they call slick fit headers. My warehouse from my work agreed to take my new(old) ones back and warranty them towards the new ones. My current problem with the cheap ones is for starters i had to dent the tubes to clear steering shaft. 2nd was had to open bolt holes bc all the weld spatter couldnt get bolts in . 3rd had to dent tubes by holes to clear bolts then lastly get them on and tightened to find out the passanger side collector is aimed almost right 20 degrees off so you cant get the collector on. I'm just hoping someone has used the slick fits and knows if they go in as easy as they look to?

i have the flowtech headers and after i moved the clutch master a tiny bit the only problem is clearing spark plug boots with straight plug heads.

Yes. I have the Advance Adapters headers and love them.
I went with the 4wd ones for more clearence. I am baggied and now bodied, a lot of my setup has changed since these were bought. But they were the best investment I have made in my exhaust. I also run small sections of SS braided flex in the downpipes (not pictured)

Thanks that's what I was wondering. The pics are deff helpful I'm gonna wrap mine & was curios on using the flex bc we sell those @ the store work for too. They will pry make it a lot easier to installing/building a y-pipe. They deff look to fit nice I was debating between these or the old style rams horn manifolds and ordered these for the performance side of it. I'm trying to build a stout street/strip truck but wanted more access to plugs & wires & keeping the engine bay tight n clean.

I love them. i sent mine out for jet-hot, so these arent the chrome ones that Advance Adapters offers (I think you knew that)...

If you dont need the 4wd ones, then dont get them. They make routing the plug wires a total pain tin the ass. But other than that, I love them.

I run my flex in the pipe between the muffler and where the bend is for the downtube to turn up towards the motor. I think they really, really help.

I have been using the Advance Slickfits (4x4's) with my 350 in a 91 S10 Blazer 4X4 since 1998.
I had them HTC ceramic coated inside & out.

With a 2" hockey puck lift I have all the clearnce I need.

I also use 2 of the SS flexs between the collector & the pipes of my duals.

For plug wire clearance I had issues on the drivers side 2 wires the first rear pipe & the rear of the 3rd pipe - the stock dimples are not enough, so I use the short ACCEL yellow pugs & 2 of the ACCEL ceramic 90 degree wires.

After burning 2 of the stock head gastgets I switrched to the Mr Gasket copper gaskets & no problem since. (there are 2 different gasket shapes depending on your head type - get the right one)
