is there anyway to hook up your car alarm to the tonneau cover... like get a light that comes on when its open so when the light comes on the alarm goes off??? any suggestions or anything???

You don't even have to have a light. If your alarm is capable with switches you just wire it in. I don't have much experience but about every one I've ever put in had some kinda push button switch for the hood that triggered it if the hood was opened. Should be able to wire into that and it trip it when the cover is opened.
mercury switches is what you're looking for. inexpensive.....and far more reliable than pin switches.
