what would be the best subs to get? going for 2 10" subs, in 1st gen reg cab, so not a lot of room. I'm lookin at the new Clarion PFW-1051's. they're pretty nice. I have an MTX TC8001 amp for the system, just need some good, shallow subs. What do you recommend? Thanks.

I'd guess close to my single 10" bassworx box. About 3-3.5 inches top and (if I remember correctly) around 7" at the bottom. that one looks a little shorter than mine tho, mine comes up to the bottom of the rear window.

You have that backwards. eD ripped Tang Band off.

Stereo Integrity has its new shallow mount sub out, the BM, and its said to perform pretty well.

i have a regular cab and i too am looking for a sub to go behind the passenger seat only. i wanna put a 12" back there so i wanna know your guys opinions on a shallow mount for the deep bass sound. i listen to a lot of rap if that helps you guys out.

anybody heard these??? They look great!! I just blew my 10w3 to bits right after install. It was sitting in a bandpass on the passenger side floor because I didn't have a box for it yet. Came out of my old Beamer. It was so loud I could see the crack in my windshield spreading. For atleast 60 seconds anyway:haha:

Only JL for me

Stereo Integrity BM will be available in an estimated 70 days and will retail for under $200 and will beat every single sub listed here in SQ, and is only 3.5" deep and it will only need a .5 ft^3 box. For now the Mag V4 is out and costs $250 and is only 5.5" deep, and is an amazing SQ driver plus it gets pretty loud and it only needs a 1 ft^3 box.

Im going to hijack this just a bit but its the same as the OP. I have a reg cab first gen and Im looking to build a subbox but with the lack of space I want to have two 10s or two 12s to be powered by my amp. Im not looking for the biggest db hit or anything, but i want to have a nice sound and quality and it be the best bang for the buck. My amp is a Eclipse da7122 digital amp. Not sure if ayone of you guys have had one or know of it but from wat i recall it was a peak power of 1000w I believe. Dont hold me to it. But anyways. What would be a good combo for a shallow mounted subs (rather have 10s but if 12s suit the amp better than i will go with it) for my amp and regular cab status?

how much depth do you have to work with? measure from your seat to the back of the cab at the bottom and about 15" up from the floor at the back
of the cab
ahh....That will have to wait, lol. But lets say it has to be under 4 inches, whats the best subs than? All I know is that the driver seat goes back farther than the passenger and i cant move the seat forward bc of my modd'ed clutch it releases a little higher than stock. So i would say anything 4 inches and below i guess. Again, i am just looking for sound and quality not looking for the hardest db bump and all.

ok, well at quick glance behind my driver seat is maybe the width of my hand, so about 5 to 6 inches from wall to back of seat. maybe 7inches, but taking consideration that mdf would take 1.5 inches away, that leaves 5.5 inches. And thats not enough wiggle room. So I might just do one sub behind the pass seat n the amp in the driver side. so 130 bucks or so for that sub is the best price?

thats pretty much the only place you can get it, and figure only about an inch for wood since it mounts through once piece of mdf, and at an angle so it would also follow your seat a little better and sit more in the corner of the box will gain you a little room
