I have a 2001 s10 and the motor is bad in it so we bought a 97' blazer for the motor it has the 15" wheels for the s10's & should I keep the wheels on the blazer or pull them off to keep for my s10 as an extra set for my s10?

both 4x4 or 2wd?

If they are not both the same don't do it. Offsets are about 2" off from each other (4x4 axles are wider)

I looked and I say keep them. Aluminum rims will help with fuel economy a little and much lighter when rotating tires

Yeah all factory gm rims are for the s-series besides the xtreme, and zq8 rims

WRONG.

Wheels from a 2001 s10 will not fit directly onto a 97 Blazer despite them being both 2wd.

98+ s10s use a slightly smaller hub and thus the wheels have a slightly smaller hub opening. Both models 94-97 and 98+ have the same 5x4.75 bolt pattern but with the smaller hub on the 98+ wheel it will fit on the 97 VERY TIGHT.

I have seen people post different strategies on how to take a little aluminum out of the hub opening on a 98+ wheel in order to fit it on an older s10. In the past I have just YOLO'd it and horsed 98+ wheels on older trucks, not a very good idea. You'll need a big ass hammer to pound the wheel off the hub.
