I don't know exactly where to ask this question... I've got a 91 2 door blazer shell that was 4x4... I want to do a v8 swap in it, but I don't want 4 wheel drive... I want it lowered and will have no need for 4 wheel drive... My question is, can you take the front suspension off a 2 wheel drive blazer and put it in place of the 4 wheel drive suspension? Because I have access to a 2 wheel drive, 2 door shell without a title that I could take the whole front suspension off of and put it on mine.... Will it all just bolt up fine? I'm guessing the rear suspension is the same on whether its 2 or 4 wheel drive, right?

No, you cannot swap front suspensions. They are completly different, about the best you could do is to swap frames. You may be able to sht can the entire front 4x parts and have 2wd using the torsion bar susp. you would have to seperate the front axles leaving the outer axle stub in the spindle, the design of the bearings requires the torque of the spindle nut.

yeah like stated above... your gona have to either swap out the frames between the 2 trucks. Or your only other option is to simply remove the axles from the hubs up front and keep the rest of the suspension the same. Its been done before, there are actualy a few guys on here that have lowered and bagged there once 4x4 blazers.
