I tried to gett he starter the crank over tonight and nothing happened at all. All the wires are hooked up and grounded. I do have the secerity lgiht on though, is this what is not allowing the starter to engage? Or what is happening? I need some help guys.

From other post I have seen by him, I would say he is doing a v8 swap so he is in the right forum.
low, I ditched to computer and the harness that runs to he fuse block. I then taped into the factory fuse panel where the starter wires go in to the removed harness. Using a simple connector I plugged my new starter wire in to this.

you might need to run a wire from the column to the outside where the starter goes. BTW was the truck a standard at first? if so you need to bypass the clutch
give out some info man..what engine is it? if you want to test the starter then just hook the solenoid staright to the battery, thatll get her spinnin
