Crankshaft variation not learned troubleshooting

So i've had P1336 for awhile ( Crankshaft variation not learned) even though the vehicle runs fine. gets up to speed, no hesitation. It won't go through via scanner, and i'm starting to go down the line of different solutions.
1. Maybe replacing the Crank shaft position sensor? I've heard you can get faulty ones from parts stores.
2. Replacement of the PCM or sending it off. Someone like circuit performance to have a tune applied as well.
3. Just driving it. Some people i've talked to say just driving it will get it to shut off. it's probably had 100 miles of drive time, and an hour of idle time.
4. Send it to the dealer. My last resort, I don't want to do this because i feel like it's an "Easy way out" But I will if I have to.

Any other suggestions?
And no, I can't just "Put tape over the light" because it's an emissions county. my tags are out by a year or so.

You mentioned replacing the crank sensor and sending the ecm out for whatever reason . You'll just about spend that much taking hit in. Smaller, less expensive shop can do it for less...maybe free if you use their services for other things. Or, you can continue to throw money at things that don't work.

I’ve tried on a cheap innova scanner and a Snap On scanner and the crank relearn didn’t work. Only reason I’m hesitant to send it in, also mentioned the pcm because a few in a s10 Facebook group said it could be a connection just not picking up, because it’s odd that it runs perfect with the code on.

Seems a $300 Tech2 mite be a good investment. Fixes current issue and any others sure to happen in the future

It's super easy to do with the right Snap-On scanner, but you have to follow the instructions EXACTLY. For example, if it says to hold the brake pedal, then hold the brake pedal. It's been a while since I did mine, but I remember it not working the first couple of times because I wasn't following the instructions correctly.
