I recently had my clutch replaced. After driving it a few miles I notices steady noise coming from the engine compartment, I also noticed the same noise when letting my truck idle. I notice that when I put a little pressure on the clutch pedal, without engaging the clutch, the noise goes away. I'm tired of driven around with my foot on the clutch and would like to know if there is an adjustment that reduces the play in the clutch pedal or could it be pri and secondary slave. I have also taken it back to the shop who did the repair and wouldn't you know it the noise disappeared.
Please help!!!!

there is not an adjustment on the pedal (its hydraulic) you will need to bleed it (just like brakes) when I replaced mine I also had a high pitched squeeking it sounds like you have the same prob. I got a new slave cly (it came w/ a new release bearing) the releace bearing thet came w/ the clutch kit wasnt the right one. After I did that and blead the clutch I could chirp 3rd!

How did you bleed the clutch and where is the bleeder? I found what appears to be a bleeder on the drivers side of the trans but didn't want to mess with it unless I was sure what it was. Did you use a bleeder tool or have someone pump and hold the clutch while you cracked the bleeder?

its right under where the clutch line goes into the slave i just used s socket wrench to crack the valve a little it is a hell of alot better to have some one hold it down when you crack it...they need to hold the pedal down to the floor while you open the valve and keep holding it till you close it. Then after you close it put some fluid in the res. then pump the clutch and bleed it again. it will take about 4 times to get all the air out if you close it and take the cap off of the res. look in there while they pump the clutch you might see bubbles .
