I put this in my project log but thought i would post it here to in case anyone wanted to see pictures of vette seats in a s10 . i searched and searched and had a VERY had time finding any pictures of them installed. I found one picture but didn't book mark it and couldnt find it again

SO here it goes

Was pretty straight forward to install them as far as custom work goes .I have a few things o do yet , I still need to figure out the seat belt mount and i think im gonna dye the tan lower cover black. the electric seat control panel need mounted . I think im going to take out the controls and put a flat piece of abs there . When i get the seats recovered ill just leave that off . Im also researching a way to inflate the side bolsters and lumbar support manually

I stopped with only getting the passenger side in because of wanting to figure out the seat belt install

heres some pics

They are not a bolt in. I mated the S10 rails to the Corvette seats.

Looks good. Do they recline? They look pretty "upright" in those pix.
Thanks, they do recline. The handle to make them recline isn't mounted. I tucked it under the seat. once it's were I wanteem, I've never reclined them again. Seats do still tilt forward with the latch up top to get stuff in and out of the ext cab easier

This looks awesome, really good job.
I got a set of c5 z06 seats that I just started to get into tonight for my truck. So far from what I can tell from your pics is that it looks like you added a piece of metal and drilled holes for the front studs and drilled new holes for the studs in the back. Now did you cut/pound out one of the studs in the back? It looks like the stud from the s10 seat is gone and your using the middle stud to hold the c5 seat on in its place. I'm just making sure I am at least on the right track with mine cuz I'd hate to F up these seats lol

Thanks for the compliments guys , i really like them .

sprinterman52 I did pound one of the studs out in the back if i remember right , its been a while . I honestly cant remember adding anything when i did them . I do know that the way i did them they dome slide back very far . Im 5'7 and have them the whole way back . For someone taller i would add to the frame to set the seat back farther .

I think i had to cut the to part of the s10 sliders of , theres a part sticking up that wont let the vette seat sit flush. Once you tear into it youll see how it goes . i

I hope you don't mind but I am bumping this to add pics. I think I have a way to add seat belts.

I should be able to modify this bracket to work with the seats.

I drilled the rivets out on this little guy and it makes mucho room.

Ok, this is taking far more fabrication then I wanted. Then again I don't want to pay $250 for some seat rails I am going to cut up. I have the fix. Along with the OP I have issues with the seat recliner parts getting in the way of the rails. I researched and was about to spend $250 on some corbeau seat brackets when I said fuk it. Looking at the sliders, they are riveted to the lower rails. I drilled those out so the sliders were free from the rails. Mount the rails in the truck and set the seat frame on just the rails.

Seat rails with no sliders

The other obstacle was the passenger ride side slider mechanism. It sits up higher then the rail. In the picture below, I cut a portion of the top of. The the remaining porting stick up had a slit cut in it and I folded it over. I need to weld the part a little more. I was removed from the slider to work on.

With above mods there is little to no over hang above the slider. Here is a pic of the slider lock after triming off excess. The above pic is after I cut and folded over the top.

All of this was drilled out. I don't need the seat to slider forward when the seat is tilted.

Pic with the bracket full size.

Vette seats recliner lever sits over the gold piece and does not allow the seat to bolt down.

This is how much the sliders need to shift outward to clear everything. I will weld and bolt some plate to the rails and then bolt the sliders to those.

Did some welding and grinding on the lever and BAM! adjustment handle bits clear the lever. I just need to finish mounting the sliders to the rails. The sliders are about 1/3" wider on each side.I am going to tack weld some flat on there there and set it up. Should have both seats in soon. I am looking for 94-97 seat belt clips. Those attach at the mounting points of the seat.

I also need to sand the grinds more so there smooth and apply an anti rust coating. Paint might interfere with the clearance of mental on metal parts.

I made more progress today. Now that the recline handle has clearance I needed to some flat bar to wide the rails. Picked up some 3/16"x2"x4' at lowes along with some round bar to widen the adjustment lever.

First I measured the distance between the mounting holes of the lower rails. Set them up and welded the flat bar front and rear. Just tacked at first to verify fitment then ill weld them to the lower rails.

I redrilled holes for the front and rear and used he existing holes to weld through to the flat bar. The front of the rails were narrow for the new holes so I grinded a slot in the bent up portion, then hammered it flat before drilling new holes.
