I have a 1997 chevy s10 4.3 and it developed a lifter tick sound and I dug into it and replaced all the lifters and it still is making the noise the balance shaft had some play in it but I don't know if they should have any or not could someone maybe help out with this? It has 219k miles and I've been getting metal shavings on the drain plug but its only been fine metal shavings.
