its like 8 seconds from 0-40, and jus feel like the whole truck dies after that

yes. mine can go from 0-60. it usually takes a few minutes.

 

Heh, same here. It will get to 60, just takes a few minutes lol. It's a big change going from a daily driver (grand prix) that runs 0-60 in 4 seconds flat on slicks to one that takes probably 15 seconds lol.

 

i ran 0-60 in 11.713 it was my 1/8 mile time hit exactly 60, kinda cool yet almost 12 isnt...but thats a 5 speed 2.2 with "intake", magnaflo catback, and basically slicks(made em myself(i love burnouts))

 

My "Old" 0-60 was just under 11.5 seconds (accualy did 11.495 @60.89 mph 1/8 mile), Then the motor started going down hill.

 

tisk my last run with my old truck was 7.6 0-60 thats a shame. All that from a turbo. stock everything else exhasut and all. Its amazing what 1500 will do to this motor

At cecil county dragway at 8:04 pm on oct 29/2004. I ran 61.46 in 11.40 1/8 mile.

 

maybe it's just me, but when you line up next to a semi and you floor it. And he beats you off the line and to the next stoplight. I really wouldn't want to time that. Plus you would need a sundial. I'm just playing i got a 2.2 and it does around 11.30.

 

well then i guess my automatic is killing me, also i'm running 225/55r/15 on dif rims, when i got the truck it had 215/75r/15, heres the other thing, they are different tires but my speedo is correct even at 75 and 80. THe tires should give me higher gears in the bak gettin me off the line quicker so why hasn't it helped me.

Me and my friends went down and taped off a 1/4 mile in a industrial park but was a lil tite so we jus ran 1/8th miles. clocked off a 12.7, this was wit an extra passenger.

makes me think i should weld a straight pipe in place the cat and run 2 1/2" piping wit a dynomax single. I'm runnin stock piping wit a dynomax rite now and maybe wit the header i should open it up more. Jus thought it would lose to much bak pressure cause i have no cat

 

stock I ran 10 most of the time. Like I said everything was stock exhaust and all. The only thing I had to change was to a Efan that was all.

 

I could check my calendar I guess and time it......

 

I have a 2001 s10 with one of those flex fuel 4's in it, bolted to an automatic. I wouldn't even think of trying to time the thing. I do get it up to 70 by the time I get to the merge lane on a down hill interstate entrance ramp. I guess that's all I can ask from it.

 

i went for a joy ride yesterday and was curious about it

so i had some fun with it

i have an 01 xtreme w/nothing but a k&n filter

it responds when u hit the gas
but other then that its pretty slow
nothing like a v8

 

i went from 0-60 in less then a block

Most of my friends cars can go the whole 1/4mi in less time than that.

 

ok well that eases my mind a lil, they tested a five speed, also the 98 vortec motors have more hp and trq over mine stock so i guess i'll have to settle wit getting my ass handed to me. thanks for ur help but i think the best i'll see is 13 N/A
