I'm trying to figure out why my compressor won't run. Where is the low pressure switch so I can jump it? My Haynes manual says it is on the accumulator, but it's definately not there. I have a 96 S-10 with the 2.2L. Thanks for any info! Matt

for some reason i am pretty sure that the low press switch is on the accumulator, along with every other chev... but i cant remember for sure... i havent done any AC on a gen2 dime in a few months.... but if they AC isnt kicking in, and you suspect that switch i wouldnt be jumping it anyway, unless you are looking for an excuse to buy a new compressor...

Well, I thought that too since every other car I've ever worked on has a low pressure switch on the accumulator. But this one sure doesn't! I've looked everywhere. The high pressure switch was easy to find, but I just can't find the low pressure switch! Matt

I think its one of the two connectors on the back of the compressor. Mine has 3 wires on the compressor and those are it for the entire AC system so my guess is that the two on the back have to be the low and high pressure switches. Also check your clutch (the clutch on the compressor) and see if that is getting power.
