Tune up Q's

I am going to do a tune up on my 97 s10 with 115000 on it. I was wondering if there were any recomendations on things I should change. I just recently bought this truck and been busy fixing some of the little flaws on the truck. I noticed that there were still factory plugs wires on it so I figured it wouldn't help to chenge them. I am only getting about 20 miles to the gallon on it right now. The air filter is fairly new but I do plan on putting in an aftermarket intake in a few weeks.

On a new to me truck I typically change plugs, wires, O2 sensor on the manifold, fuel filter, serpitine belt, air filter, make sure the vaccum lines are not rotten and check condition of the coolant

if you can get the o2 sensor out easily check it out and see what she looks like
(no sense in paying all that money if it still works)
other than that your dis should cover it...

Wrong, I got 2 mpg city and better midrange pick up after changing mine. These things default to rich.

Besides, 129K miles, I figured it was due, and it was only $26
