So I went to the store today, picked up some spark plugs and the guy at the desk went on about how putting a smaller gap will make my engine run a lot better, so I decided to trust his guidance, I went to the next size gap down.
now my engine has a rough idle, and a hesitation when I hammer the gas off the line.
I'm wondering, can a smaller gap size really make this difference or did I by chance screw something up? I made sure to check the wires twice to ensure that I didnt accidentally put them in the wrong order. thanks

he is backwards. the bigger the gap with a consistent fire will give the best results. note the term consistent. this sounds backwards since most guys lower the gap with nitrous. the environment of nitrous dictates it.

if you want to play with it, just check your mileage at every fill up and regap. the best gap will provide better mpg and more hp.
