Tilt steering

Does anybody know a) if and b) where to get a tilt colum to fit an 86 S-10? To elaborate more, did any of the first gen's come with tilt steering? will a colum from another car/truck fit? i.e. blazer, camaro, etc... Curently, obviously, I do not have tilt and would greatly enjoy it if I can find a tilt colum that would fit in my truck.

Don't know if they came with them but im sure a trip to the junkie would net you something that may work.....

yes many first gens came with tilt steering i belive the tahoe package had it standerd so check your junk yards you should be able to find one

Tilt was an option on the Tahoe too. But yes you can get one. My Tahoe doesn't have tilt and I've rubbed the foam off the bottom of the steering wheel getting in and out with my long a$$ legs. If you decide to go ahead with it, let me know how it turns out.

My 86 came with tilt and i have seen tilt in earlier ones in the boneyard.

My tilt is from a 89 Tahoe
