I AM GETTING READY TO PUT A '76 V-8 OUT OF A MALIBUE IN TO MY '87 S-10. I HAVE THE RADIATOR THAT WAS WITH THE MOTOR AND IT IS ONLY ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. MY QUESTION IS CAN IT FIT IN PLACE OF MY 2.5 RADIATOR JUST WITH MINOR MODIFICATIONS TO MY TRUCK OR DO I JUST NEED TO GO GET A CORVETTE RADIATOR.
HELP ME OUT GUYS!:pimp:

Unless you're running a lot of horsepower, a factory 4.3 S-10 radiator will work without any mods. Depending on what mounts you use and where the engine sits you may also be able to use a flex fan instead of electrics.
finally someone that agrees with me. i am also running the stock 4.3 radiator in my truck, and it doesnt go much past 160-170 in this 95 degree heat. i have 2 camaro fans pushing btw..

If your 2.5L rad is an aluminum core (not copper) keep it, don't replace it. The 2.5L four banger rad has the hoses on the same side as a V-8 rad. The rad will work fine if you run a 195degree thermo and a good direct drive fan. Wouldn't hurt to put a pusher electric in front too, but not necessary. My buddy's truck has a V-8 with the four cylinder rad and it runs between 190-210.
