I will be dropping my 2000 sonoma ext. stepside truck and not really sure the way to go about doing it. I will be using spindles and that is all that i know for sure, any advice will be appreciated.

how many inches of drop are you wanting?
spindles are good to use, they will lower the truck while keeping the stock ride. search around and you can answer most of your own questions.

avtekk's 5/6 how-to thread helped me out a TON the first time i ever lowered an s10. easily did it in my garage by myself. should be just about all the information you'll need for a basic drop. it can be found here:

btw if you're going with a 7" drop out back, you're definitely going to want a bolt-in notch. sd makes a good 2.5" one, which can be found here:
