Really you should flush the radiator about every 2-3 years even with dex cool (the orange stuff). The 4.3L's have had alot of problems with this and with the head gasket issues with the 2.2, it can't hurt.

wish mine looked that clean started pulling the motor apart today and omg i cant beleive how disgusting it is i wish i had a digi to take some pics of the intake maifold apart so much nast black shit its not even funny....i wish i wouldve taken it all off in one peice like yours im dissaselmbling mine in peices while its mounted...

what should i look into clenaing anyways like internal wise and what should i use while its apart...anyhelp will be appreciated...its a total mess....waiting to see my damge once i get the head off...it only runs on 2 cyls right now...

thats all put back all as one unit, its been out of the truck more then once, so i was able to clean the parts up

Carb-off by STP from AutoZone(etc.) is pretty good to clean intake stuff.

mine came with green stuff from the factory... i would never touch dex-crap...

I've got Dex-Cool and have no problems.

I run at normal temperatures, no matter how I drive, and there is NO junk in my overflow tank.

If you mix the green stuff, and the orange stuff, you get lumpy brown stuff. I believe Dex-Cool has silicone in it, and the green stuff has... glycolic something-or-other? Whatever it is, you can't mix it.

I flushed my radiator at around 50k. A little bit of crud here and there...I noticed it runs slightly cooler. Flush it, be on the safe side!

yea definitely get rid of the dexcool crap, you'll regret not doing so. especially on blazers. not sure why though.
