Try your local scrapyard they might have one in good condition.

there is one on ebay buy it now of 500.00 bucks has 81k on it, it's out of a 98 i believe

98 will not work in a 97 you can only use a 1996-1997 2.2 motor no other year will fit correctly

yup.... sitting in my uncles field... the motor has 100k on it out of my 97 noma the frame and sheet metal is focked but the motor is great

94-95 have no hole in the block for a cam or is it crank sensor so its somehting like odb1 and not odd2 ........ now you can use a 96-97 in a 94-95 truck but you can not use the 94-95 in the 96-97 and 98 is totally differnt

a 94 wont work in a 97 anda 98 wont work in a 97 he needs a 96-97 motor only its a waste to try and make a newer motor work unless your going to put a v6-v8 in it

 

so a 97 motor would work in a 95? and s10lwrider are you really selling a motor for 100 or are you bs'ing

 

guys seriously if ur doing a motor swap get a motor wit less than 80k y wind up another swap in a few years. Spend another $200 and u can pickup a lower mileage motor. Your gona spend atlest another 300 in parts when u swap the engines. and while u got ur motor ready to go in replace the timing chain for $60 i regret not doing mine.

i picked my motor up from queens 50k on it no accesories for $500 came to be 550 wit delivery.
