may be a stupid question, but have you replaced the bulb? Those are a dual filament bulb and it could be that the filament for the taillight is burnt out.

 

Yeah I changed the bulb. I guess I am gonna have to trace the wire underneath my truck and see if there is a cut in the wire or something.

 

first I would take the bulb out and use a voltmeter to make sure the plug isn't getting power. You should also be able to run a jumper wire from the right rear taillight to the left.

yeah i didnt think so either, but every question about blinkers i have seen someone puts that so i had to keep the tradition.

check the connections of all the wires to the socket, one might be lose, or it might have got wet on an exposed part?

 

You said you replaced the harness, did you check to see if the pins in the connector aren't bent over? I had this happen once. Those pins bend real easy and will cause is happening in your case.

 

What year is your truck? Are any of the license plate lights out also?
