I've been doing a lot of research on underslung chassis and i'm pretty positive thats what i want to run, now my question is how many of you underslung guys are daily draggers? talking to people and watching videos everyone thats dragging is dragging frame and body do you underslung guys use drag blocks or are you dragging your frame like everyone else? and how long have you been dragging this set up?

Ya no kidding. It doesn't seem like the absolute best idea for a daily driven vehicle. I don't know a whole lot about that setup but obviously the distance between the top of your frame rail and the bottom of your axle housing is all the height you'll get. so...either put some 26's on there or some huge tires and you'll be good!! haha

Just saying from my perspective. But i would NEVER drag a frame i just got done building. Atleast plate the bottom so your not loosign the structure of your actual frame.

I would drag my rockers waybefore i would my frame. Seems pointless to make a custom full backhalf and then just go drag it all appart.

I don't want to tear up my body or my custom stock floor frame, so I'm considering plating the frame (but then it won't lay body unless I drag it off) or doing some type of setup in the rear to drag blocks when it's done.

It's also going to be my daily driver - unless I get approved AND afford a new car.

see i've got another car but it's an 02 trans am ws6 and thats my baby but i like driving something different and beating the shit out of it. i could care less about ripping up the body i'm not doing crazy paint and my buddy and I are doing all the work so it's only gonna cost a couple hundred bucks(materials) so i'm not too worried about it.

draggin is ok but id say to be safe run blocks why spend the time and money to tare it up unless you dont care. mines not underslung but i wont drag it cuz the body will drag think ill run some type of block or some tubing

see i don't plan on making anything show no crazy paint jobs and it is just a beater so if it drags away oops time to rebuild lol. it's not going to be my only ride so i'm gonna drag the f*ck out of it. i don't really know what i want to do and i probably won't know until the parts are in front of me.

seriously, dragging is way overrated. It's cool occasionally for a couple seconds. Its soo much cooler to hit a tiny dip in the road and shower the car behind you for a split second. when you do it all the time, you'll get looked at like those ricer guys that rev their engines and take off fast at every redlight. makes you look desperate for attn is what I'm trying to say I guess.

well D from the looks of things when we build mine underslung its gonna get some blocks in the back.... that way it will still lay out flat at a show or gas pump or something like that haha but if we wanna drag its gonna have to be riding a little cali to do it. cuz that dude saying a 1/4 inch off the ground at 60 mph isnt an easy thing to find in dirty jersey!

lol, if you have never had a truck to drag, then i can understand the excitement. a looonnnggg time ago, all i did was drag when i was front bagged on stock wheels, and some low pros, ha. im not going to talk shit to you, because its something that should definitely be experienced.

alot of these guys have the "been there, done that" attitude, so dont let it bother you. im just a sarcastic, grumpy old guy. the whole reason i dont get on the forum much anymore, is because of the whole "drop n destroy RooLz" attitude from a year or 2 ago.

good luck with it bro.

lol thanks alot. like i said i don't plan on making a magazine truck nothing radical for shows, clean stock interior with little audio upgrades, tinted glass, semi straight body with a driveway paintjob and some decent used rims. its gonna be a daily so i plan on chips and everything else thats why i figured **** it just drag it and keep it a cool semi clean daily that i can drag when i want.
