Had just about all my steering components replaced today, along with upper control arms, i have tubular arms on my truck now, i have 3 inch blocks in the back which made a big difference. My truck is a ZQ8 so its already lowered 1.5 front and back but what gives because the front is still higher than the back, my drop should be a 3.5/4.5?? Is still looked like this before the 2inch drop spindles, and still looks like it after

Yeah i have stock Zq8 suspension along with a 2/3 drop kit, spindles and blocks. I cant really tell a difference at all with the spindles though..... Tires?

Man this is really pissing me off, it feels like i just got ran for my money with this drop kit, he didnt take out the coils btw, also when i got the truck theres like 4 different brand tires if that means anything... Also is there a way around this ? Could i possibly go with a staggered rim setup? 18s in the front, 20s in the back? Will that help?

Yes from TSS, that would really suck if they sent me the wrong spindles because it looks like it didnt get lowered AT ALL when the were installed, heres a pic from 2weeks ago, this is how my truck looks wth just 3inch blocks on top of ZQ8 suspension. You really ant tell a difference at all!!! Ireally dont think tire size would make that big of a difference would it? But like i said is there anyway around this, like if i went with a staggered rim setup?

I let the guy that did the work keep them... Man what a pain in the ass this is starting to be.. I swear everything i attempt on this truck makes sure it stesses me the hell out, i dont think ill be investing another dollar into this POS, im eally upset about this crap man! But even if they were drop spindles it still wasnt at the correct height anyway, the front should actually be lower because thats how it was setup stock.. Theres usually a slight rake on stock trucks, look, this is how my truck was BONE STOCK with no lowering parts on it, front is lower....

Exactamundo......

Id be askin your guy a few more questions lol or go back are go over everything yourself.....but springs that arent clocked correctly will cause this problem.... sooooooo Id start there. or your guy did something sketchy

Nah man its a old guy, hes a custo at my job, i see the new spindles on there btw, i got alot of cap replaced, i got NEW tubular uppers only...... New moog centerlink, idler arm, tie-rods inner/outer, and 2inch drop spindles replaced all at the same time, ok but like i said before, if i ran a staggered rim setup would that correct it ? Wouldnt that alter that drop like an inch or two? If i did 18s in the front and 20s in the back (boss 338s)? Tbh i really dont want to go back bitching to him because he did all that crap for $300 for me, id seriously make myself look like an ***! I dont want to risk doing that crap myself because i dont want to mess anything up...='( i dont know what to do! Oh and one other thing, i noticed my chevy lean "disappeared" it was very noticeable at first, and i dont even have a spacer? U really cant even see a chevy lean at all anymore

OK. Lets back up a minute here. You showed us a picture of stock next to 2" drop spindles. Are these THE spindles in the truck now? Since the front is definately no lower, you need to figure out why Before you spen all that money on wheels/tires. Don't skip over the spring clock possibility. Also be sure, as in dive under the truck and look. I say this because I'm an old guy and I forget shit all the time. Just cover ALL possibilities first.

He charged you 300 dollars and your not willing to take it back to have it re checked?

if you paid me 300 id by all means make sure everything was perfect! as im sure most everybody else on here.....

if he did it for free, yes you look like an ass...... but you paid the man. there could have been a mistake made... if not him, take it to someone else and have the springs checked for proper seating.

buying a set of staggard wheels is kindof a rediculous solution to this man...... for real..... if they had a slap smiled id do it right bout now....

its very easy to check if they are seated correctly. take the wheels off and look at the springs. look at the very bottom where they sit in the control arms. you will see 2 holes in the control arm. very small holes. like pencil size. they are "drain" holes. now i cant remember what way the spring is supposed to be in relation to the holes since i havnt had a s10 in about 3 years and it was bagged for the last year and a half that i had it. but i know someone in here can tell you.

So how hard would it be to re adjust the spring in the correct position? Does everything have to be broken all the way down? Also can someone explain how that could cause my problem though, what does it prevent the spring from being loaded with proper torque?

if i were you i would just take everything back apart up front just to make sure you got all the parts "actually" installed that your installer said was installed. it looks like in the pics to me that it looks like the drop spindles were not put on. Or if they are and you need to move your spring and yes you would have to take everything apart again to do it properly.
