Gibson Exhaust

I have the Gibson exhaust on my '99 S10 Sport-Side and am having the side chrome tip melt the side body a tad just abouve it.

Anyone else have this? it's not touching/rubbing.... Just close to the fiberglass side-bumper and is heating it.
Is there a way to bend the pipe/something. Gonna fix it soon. (I hope)

I'm actually going to run the Gibson exhaust on my truck with a custom outlet right underneath the rollpan instead of the default swept-side exit. I would imagine either cutting the tip like stated above or bending it more downwards would conclude the problem.

Gonna take it to a muffler shop to see if they'll bend it for me.
