Engine Driven Compresser Questions.

My friend is really looking at getting one of these, but he wants to get some more info on them.


so post some information about them :D

like, how much PSI do they go to? price range on them? do they replace the trucks AC, or can you keep the AC and the compresser? whats a good one, and how much is it. ect ect

I wouldnt run them over 225psi..
You may run them seperate to the AC.
York's are pretty much where it's all at... 70s/80s model Volvos/Fords/etc had them... you can pickup one at Autozone for a 81 Ford F-100 for $85.. it's a remanufactured unit with warranty, and you'll also need a clutch/pulley assembly.. run ya $100 or so, along with fittings, steel braid leader hose, pressure switch, brackets, etc.... even with all this stuff tho, still beats the hell outta electrics.

you could go with the airlift aircommander kits... come with everything ya need :D

contact one of the vendors on the board.. larry, doug, matt, etc...

yeah, he was wanting to get a complete kit, like the airlift one, but someone told him that they can only go to like 150psi or so.
