Use rustpenetrating spray lubricant and use somethin to hit the bolt through with, like a screwdriver or somethin...

 

tried that..i guess i'll have to keep on given'r.

 

the first time i took my front apart to do the coils, i had to thread the bolt out..i used a air ratchet so it was no prob..then when i did the bags the bolt came right out...spray it up good like cab said and use a air chisel to punch it out or bang the shit outta it to break it loose...put the nut on so it dont mess up the threads though

 

to get the bolts out my leaf springs i took a ratchet extension and beat through it to get the bolt out. But spray em down good and let em sit for a while. THen try and tap em out

 

are you trying to just pull them off? just hit the bolts with a hammer, theyll come out unless the inner sleeves from the bushings rusted to the bolts..then youll need a air chisel or some kind of press to get them out.

or are you trying to remove the bolts with the coils in there? if so, they wont come out because the coil is putting tremendous pressure against them. I never take the front suspension apart like that, altho some people swear by it. Its the biggest pain in the ass IMO. I always pop the ball joint apart then pull the spring out from there..

why are you removing the control arms?

 

So i can cut the humps off and weld em back up, plus clean them and paint them.

 

werd.. how hard are the uppers to remove?

 

pretty easy. If you can, get some gear wrenches, the help alot.

 

taking off the uppers will mess up the alignment though, right? I got the nuts for the uppers off and they're not moving either.
