Possible but paint job will only be as good as what you put over it.
and a good possibility with it reacting and wrinkling,, if you going to spend the money on paint i'd sugges you sand it off, prime it then paint.. well worth the effort..

But then again there's always time to do it the second time..
So it's your call.

 

uhhh my rear pannel on my truck bed was hit in an accident and i didnt want to pay for the shop to paint it...it was primed painted and 3 coats of clear. i prob should of sanded the second coat before the 3rd. thats what im asking. if i can sand it a little and then add another coat of clear to even it out. it was all done with spray cans except the primer.

 

If you want good results sand it all off and do it right.. if you dont' care, get the spray can.

 

well i guess its fine by me then...i was just asking if it would make it a little more smooth....didnt want to be harassed because i dont have the money to "do it right".

i agree you should sand it all off but if its duplicolor its fine to wetsand then reapply, kinda easy to read it on the label, idk if its a 95 cent walmart special though, but then again if your using walmart special (colorplace) you probably dont have an index.

yeah just sand and respray, i think it even gives you instructions on the bottle on how to repsray it, but its more then likely going to be wrinkley and wavy, but i kno plenty of ppl who re cleared their tailights before they tinted them.
