for the other side just make sure you can fit your hand all the way around the bag without touching the pocket.

And that sucks that you blew a bag. Hope ya get it fixed.

 

I would definatley check both sides...you really cant tak "to much" pocket...just dont get crazy

 

well when its fully up theres a shit load of clearance but as soon as it lays out, the pocket sits on the bag. and i think it might rub on the way "up".

When airing up from fully laid, it makes a popping noise and then raising higher, almost like something is keeping it down. I was told the 2600s are known for making that sound. Do i have to cut more so it clears the bag when laid?

Make shure u CUT enough to fit that 2600 in there.......trim both sides when u replace the 2600 to make xtra shure they dont rub.........and after u did it the first time who told u you needed to cut more? :sheep:

 

If you have free floating cups that could possibly be your popping sound when airing up after it is layed out.....its nothing to worry about, just the cups settling in the lower arms. If you have the cups tacked onto the lower arms then yes it could be your balljoints talkin.

I bought a 97 S-10 off of a kid on here that was already bagged, and I had the same thing happen to me. I was going up this steep hill, and all of the sudden my drivers side dropped. I aired it up, and it went right back down......I had to do this about 10 times until I got to the top of the hill, and by them i was out of air in my tank.

Long story short, it sucked balls, almost popped my tire, and I realized how much of a hackjob the truck really was.

 

What about 2500's do you have to trim as much away as the 2600's???

2500s are easy, barely trim anything, 2600s are a bit larger and you need to trim more.... but i mean, if you cant fit your finger around, obviously they'll fail, its common sense, i hope you learned your lesson, good luck

 

Dude check both sides, if you need to cut on one side more times than not the other side needs to be cut also. It doesn't take long to check it out. Just be thankful you didn't blow it on the freeway or on a sharp turn like I did..

 

It could be as simple as the line not being in securely.. but chances are you didn't trim enough. Those 2600's are some huge bitches compared to 2500's

 

dont see the point in even going 2600 i have 2500 on both my trucks and i can lock out the suspension

 

It rides a lot better with the bigger bags. And if u have control arms, you can get a little more lift with them

 

hey i fixed it yesterday, it was a piece of the pocket that touch the bag for like 1in, I have pictures of it, and I took out my bumpstops and swaybar yesterday too. When I first installed them it was like 8 or 9 at night so i didnt have anymore time to take off anything else. The bumpstops were rubbing through the bag and i could even see the white mesh between the layers. W/o the sway bar its alot faster, side to side and even up. I looked on the other side when lay'd and it didnt look like it touched at all. I'll post pics in a few minutes.

 

The one with the white on teh frame is the drivers side that cut a hole, and the other is the passenger side aired up when i was fixing the drivers.
