the reason why we notch our beds is to lay frame on big rims and have axel clearence.
you can lay it out with a c notch and run small rims and still keep your bed floor

 

like u said u won't slam it, if u get a bolt on c-notch instead of a step notch, but u stil can bag it...
i'm sure there are enough trucks on here that got bags and a still a bed

 

some dude in my city just has a c notch, bagged and mono leaf'd and i think he has 17's im not sure and still has his bed floor

Wont that look a bit awkward? Do you bolt on those notches w/o cutting your frame up?

 

my s10 is bagged and the frame isnt notched yet..you can still get pritty low without a notch and link it all depends on what you do..Im going to be using that same bolt in notch but heres a few pics with any notch or link done

i had a 4" notch with the bed fully cut and built something like a rail system that i could bolt into the bed and park the bike on worked well

he's got the same bolt in notch and i believe a 2 link..yes a 2 link..but im not entirely sure i may "mis remember"

not completely..i wanted to get a pic in a raked looking stance so i think there may have been around 40 psi but not sure..
because of the larger tire in the rear i always have a tiny bit of a raked stance but i like it for now..
plans to lay 20's next month

 

oh and the terribly unlevel driveway adds alot to that pic and how she sits obviously

 

notch cover man, it doesn't have to come up high at all if you go with the silverstar customs 2 link or the KP or Cando 6 links because 90% of the parts are under the bedfloor rather than on top of the axle

after seeing that thread. i think you should bag your truck once your back in VA. i have a picture on my wall that's a full size with a raised bed floor hauling a bike. it really doesn't look that bad, but then again, how often will you really be hauling it rather than riding it?

ha i hated those tails..took em off a while ago and stuffed em in my garage to never be found again !
i have alot of older pics before it was flat black with 19's on it but thats it..
it doesnt lay much lower than what you saw..maybe another 1.5 inches

 

my last truck only had a bolt-on c-notch. mounted everything under the bed because i wanted to keep my bed also. it layed pretty hard. i think it was like an inch from laying frame.

here's my little bro's truck with the silverstar customs 2 link, 8" notches, and a trapdoor in the bedfloor for the hogs head. When the truck is aired up there are no holes in the bedfloor except for the notches and you don't even notice them. it also lays the frame flat on a 225/45/17 in back with the stock wheel wells and 205/40/17 in front with inner fenders still in.




plus, it rides awesome with a bag on the bar setup in the back, and shocks all around

Awesome!! I was trying to figure a way to get by without hacking my bed all to crap as I want to haul the bike as well. This looks promising.

 

thats about as low as its gonna get without a notch..

 

I'm notching, but as long as I can air up and keep the stock floor, at least enough room to put the bike in the middle.

 

just get the c-notch. it'll be perfect for what you're wanting.

yeah, the kit is like $450.00, comes with the notch, link bars, bag brackets, etc...

lol id forget the bike was back there and slam the truck forcing the trap door into the underside of the bike

 

then don't do a trapdoor, just have a small hole in the bedfloor. i'm sure you can get the bike around a small hole in the bed
