yeterday my tank was filling up in the school parkinglot before school and i looked back and there was like 250psi in the tank so i huried up and pulled the wire. i have a 380 compresser with a 200psi presser switch. is the switch bad or what would make it do that?

was it cold? when it was cold here mine would freeze open and keep filling and filling. thats the only thing that could be the problem. you are runing the psi switch to a relay of some sort right? if not you psi switch could of melted the points together.

It could be either your pressure switch or your relay. You should hook up your setup so that the compressor only kicks on when the ignition is turned to on.
