im gettin ready to bag my truk andf im thinki9n bout the ART air bar. Question is....has anyone used it and how hard is it to install? Also, i know tony had it on the ss, and something was said about the gas tank crossmember. just want some opinions. Cant really afford the roadgrator cuz of having a house a 4wheeler and all that ****. lemme know what all i have to do to get it to lay.

Ive installed 2 Airbars and a Roadgrator, and you wont be able to lay out with a Airbar unless you run smaller tires. Its easy to install but youll need the gas tank crossmember from the Roadgrator kit if you want to notch your frame.

tony.....what do i have to do for it to lay with the air bar.....and i dont have gfx. or what kinda deal can you give me for the roadgrater, coolride up front and the arc4800 or arc4700?
If you are wanting to lay the dude out you really ought to go with the Roadgrater system. You will be throwing the geometry out to far on the AirBar. For a deal like that you should get in touch with Larry or Matt off of this board

The Airbar will do it if you are running a short tire like that and also run a notch with a block BUT........ it is possible that you will throw some of the geometry out the window and if you are running a 1-piece drive shaft you are going to have to get crafty with the gas tank x-member and front upper bar mount.

With a 2.5" notch and 2" blocks and 225/45/17 tire, you will be within 1/2" of laying. I installed this on a 94 x-cab and he is about 1/2" off the ground front to back.
