I would like to build a conversion harness for my s10 swap. I have a 2000 5.3 and harness as well as the stock 2.2 engine harness that came in my truck. The lm7 diagrams are easy to find. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the engine wiring diagrams for the 99 2.2 engine harness.
Thanks,
Kory

pinouts are probably easier. but I'd take either. I'll email you.

I'm just getting started on my harness. The diagrams make this possible. Thanks again for getting them for me.

My harness is comming along great. Does anyone know if there is a pin on the pcm that can be used for the reverse lockout on a t56? If I was to use an fbody harness there is one. Not sure about the truck harness though.
Thanks for all the help.

are you using the 411 ecu?

2000 f body reverse lockout shows the c1 and c2 pins needed.

If I remember correctly the last three didgets on the ecu tag are 896.
Do I need to switch to a 411? It would just require chainging the pin placement on that end of the harness correct?
Thanks again for the help.

if its a 2000 its going to be a red/ blue connector the pins should be the same. Id have to look at an ecu pinout for the fbody and truck. I can do that later when I am off work.

some more info

you could also pm some of the guys in that thread about this.

so the only difference would be the operating system being used.

So If I have it flashed with a 411 fbody program it should work fine.
Thats great.
Thanks,

that I am not sure about. You'd have the search and ask some guys here and over at ls1tech also.

yes it will work. I have run both pcms in my truck with the same os loaded in both of them.

The 896 were used in all lsx based vehicles from 99-2000 the 411 was used 2001-2002 then in 2003 they changed to the "Blue/Green" pcm which changed numbers every year but all the OS's are interchangeable for drive by wire. If you want to run cable throttle on the "Blue/Green" you need to make sure it has IAC drivers installed which are only in half of the service numbers.

another thing to add - if you were using a 98+ truck you would want to use a truck os because the car os does not comunicate with the bcm properly. I had lots of troubles with this when I first started driving my truck.

I appreciate it. This project has taken much longer than it was supposed too already lol.

Moon,
Do you happen to have the diagrams for the iat, and maf sensors. Those two plugs were cut from my harness. I think I know what needs to be fixed, diagrams would be great if you can get them.
Thanks,

if I sent you the engine controls harness for the 5.3, the connector and wire colors should be on them. Let me know if hthere not.

I've been kicking around the idea of putting a 5.3 in my 2.2L truck. I've been running into issue after issue with the drive train and almost have myself convinced to just replace it altogether.

I would like 5.3/T56

Can a 5.3 harness be re-pinned/modified to work in a 2.2 truck?

You can absolutely repin a 5.3 harness to work in a 2.2 s10. Using the diagrams in this thread, I have almost finished doing exactly that.
There is alot of great info here. The process is time consuming, but not really hard.
