3.4L questions

well i am still looking for a motor but i have a few questions. from what i have read just about everything is the same from the 2.8 to the 3.4. but i just want to get confirmation. headers are the same patern right? the intake is the same right.? ok im not running a/c or a fan. (e fan) so all i have to hook up is the power stearing and water pump. can i use the f-body pullys/ front cover or do i have to use the s-series pullys/ cover? on a 4x4 i have to use my 2.8 oil pan right?
anything i could be forgetting.. ps its going carbed. maby later down the road ill go efi but not yet.

PS. i know there is a SEARCH feature and i have well used it but just want to be sure.

you pretty much got it covered, i just cant help you out with the accessories part but i know you can get the truck accessories with no ac orps

oh ya i almost forgot will my 2.8 distributor fit. and did the 3.4 ever come with a carbed intake. or just the injection style.

The 2.8 dizzy will fit, but only with the carbed intake or older MPFI intake.

The 3.4 in the F-body only ever came equipped with the SFI intake.

You will need to switch over your existing intake.

The front cover and accessories question can only be answered acurately after asking what year your truck is.

well new account but its (laziestninja) my truck is a 83 with a 84 tranny/ hydo clutch kit in it alt/water/power stearing pump is all 83 and all im running. will be using a efan kit when i do the swap.

To use the F-body front cover, would require a later model (1986 or newer) oil pan. The front oil pan lip was changed in 1986.
