Do you have any idea when they first added a knock sensor to the 60* 2.8s?
I recently bought an 82 long bed 2.8. I noticed a knock sensor on the block which leads me to believe someone changed the engine.
Maybe 1986 - when they went to TBI?

Hi, you don't know me but was rifling through some old posts about 2.8's and i came across one: http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f106/towing-with-93-s10-2-8l-rwd-help-please-521397/ where you had mentioned that you had turbo'd a 2.8 (3.2). By chance do you have a thread on that. I have a s10 2.8 4WD and that is something i would like to do in the future and i'm just trying to gather as much info as i could about it.
I have a 87 S10 4x4 Ext Cab. I want to put in a 3.4 block with 3400 uppers. I have a 700R4 in it. I am curious to how to handle the TV cable. I saw where you said a "cruise box" from a quad 4 corsica/berreta would work but I don't understand how that would work. Could you provide a link to an image or give me some instructions.
the guys seem to respect you a lot and from what ive read, you know how to work with these trucks. im gonna be picking up another 2.8 92 5 speed hopefully next weekend. im a formula owner on ls1lt1.com and am currently swapping my lt1 out to an lq9:woah:. so entire powertrain has to go. but ive come across many guys there that say the 3.4s can be pulled and the 3.8 will drop in. little bit of wiring and its set to go. guys on here speak of a 3.4 swap being cake but a 3.8 is impossible... do you have any actual knowledge of this? no one has enough supporting information for me to go by. and also, id like to talk boost after i hear you opinion on this thought... ps you pm messages was full so i sent this here
