wow... what is the before what is the after? how did blocks make it look that high still!?

 

it's kind of a bad angle.. i'm 5'8" and the rear bumber is at about the middle of my calves. i'll get a better angle on it tomorrow at school. i'm just wondering why the front is so high. i'll post two different pictures to make it easier to notice too.

 

did you install the coils correctly?

 

i'm pretty sure i did. any key points to tell if i didnt?

 

any recollection of covering 1 drain hole and not the other? or sumthing like that? i forgot.. its been a while...

ahh now that i really look at it i see the rear is a hair lower now. Make sure you set the front springs in right. They have to sit correctly up top and bottom ... I had that issue. up top they have to go around this piece that looks like a C if looking from directly below it. The C will sit down about an inch or to .. it holds the spring from moving.. the bottom has something to do with the drain holes. which i dont completely understand yet..

 

The bottom rubber coil cover had a nub in it that was supposed to go in one drain hole.

 

yeah, i found a hella good coil install how to and realized i just kinda threw it in there. after i get the motor and whole drivetrain completely in there i'm going to look through that how to and make sure i put them in the right way. this was my 1st coil install.

 

When I got my Ground Force coils, they included quite a few instructional installation pages with pics. Of course, I didn't read them until after I put the coils in

 

yeah, i shoulda read up on in a little more before just throwin them in there. couldn't get better pics this week, so monday i'll get some better ones and post them.

 

would it make a difference if the springs were for a 2nd gen, not a 1st gen?

As for rear, how many leaf in 1 pack?

 

i'm pretty sure there's three in one leaf pack. i have mono leaf but im trying to sell it. is it bad that i dont have the rubber coil ends?

 

 

it's sittin at my high school right now. it's nice enough to work on it at home in my garage so i finally can take it home to work on over the weekends. re-installing the coils friday to see if my problem is the way they're sittin in there.

 

The rear looks like its actually lowered in that picture.. The front.. woahhh.. it looks stock / lifted an inch lol. The springs that you put in... were they a lot shorter than the stock ones when not installed?

 

they weren't too much shorter. i'll take a picture later on when i take them out to put them in right.

 

did you measure before and after fenderlip to center wheel?

being 1st gen your stock coils can be worn that even with 3" drop coil, doesn't drop further from where it was stock

 

Yikes! The front-end of that looks almost as high as mine does with the 3" body lift!

The rear looks good in the latest pic, though ... although, would that have anything to do with the weight of the stuff I see sticking out of the bed?

 

yeah, theres a few things back there, but most is out now and it still sits about the same. took the front coils off and it is a newer STOCK coil. gave the kid i got them from a call and hes gonna get something figured out.

yeah, i had the coils in wrong, and i put the stock ones back in and it's better. front is still a little high, but it'll do for now. i'll take some pictures as soon as i can get it out of my garage, trying to get it running first.
