Hey all... Figured i'd start, and let you all add in your wintertime goals too!!!!
He who changes the most, WINS!!!!!!
so i'm going to set the bar high:

in the past 2 weeks, i've done:
a) H.i.D.'s ::: 6k low beams, 5k high beams, 10gauge wires and relay's throughout, WITH the quad beam mod.... SO MUCH light at night!!!!
b) Installed Sony dash and door speakers
c) Made a 10" sub box, using a 'Comp' Kicker sub, and a 'Dual' 400w amp. Box fits behinds seat with the sub centered behind center console, made to exactly 1.47 cu/ft... nice clean tight bass... can't hear a thing outside the truck, but inside is niiiiiiiiice.

Winter TO-DO list:
1) Roll cage
2) 6-speed stick, to 4L80e auto
3) Center console change for auto swap (and interior mods for cage)
4) Aluminum in-bed fuel cell
5) LS1 intake, to Truck style intake
6) Clear coat truck, add vinyls, buff/polish
7) Firmica flush mount tonnae cover with aluminum angle frame, using hood-pins to mount (oh yea, it's gonna be schweeeeet)
8) upgrading to GT45 TURBOOOOOOO silly tiny T70 is doneeeee
9) MSD 2-step !!!!!!
10) 6lbs --> 11/12lbs
11) Meth injection
12) track rear wheels with a set of slickssss
13) blast and por15 frame
14) battery kill switch (heavy duty style)
15) weld on the trailer hitch
16) Hockey pucks for all body mounts, eliminate some more flex
17) Better desinged rear mount turbo setup
18) Tilton circle track differential oil pump for the turbo's oil supply.

hoping to stay below $2500 spent for the whole winter upgrade.
Last year, 2 best times were:
12.8 @ 118
12.7 @ 116
407hp @ 5100rpm, 455tq @3400rpm

Goal this year:
1) 10.99 @ ???.xx
2) 550hp+ on the dyno.

Make sure you show us the hockey puck mounts, I am a little curious on that and your tonneau, your a creative guy with some good ideas!

no idea where my time slips are anymore, but i know it was baaaad.
I was on 275 street tires needless to say...

And the hockey pucks should be schweeet. they're only 15-20 bucks for the 6 or so that i need.
plus cost of some longer bolts~ so maybe another 10 bucks?

Barry, i'll try to get you a pic of that sub box,
How do you like that hydroboost?

I did the blazer front brakes upgrade about a month ago, and that alone was a rediculous upgrade! I wonder what it'd be like with that and a hyrdoboost

must have not built the tranny right cause mine has had like 200 passes and still strong.

TB why did you t70 fail??? bad supply?

You don't want it. It hasn't had oil since May :haha:
It plays Jingle bells!!!!! At least it's in the season!!!

Bandit: It looks great, testing will be in July! I fab'd up my own mount plate since I bought the unit from Advance.

Silver: It was for a 93 Astrovan and Im using the stock master cylinder. The eyelet that goes over the pedal post has to be enlarged and Im bending up ss hard lines for the pressure and return side. Cost was roughly 130ish U.S. peso's.

Finish gathering parts for my ly6/t56 swap and swap it in. Engine will have aftermarket vvt cam, ls3 intake manifold and tb, ls3 intake valves, and arp rodbolts, along with lt's of course.

someguy66, asking 2500 for the whole swap for an S10, I never beat on it though. Friends always made fun of me for not beating on my truck like they do on their GTO's, camaros, mustangs, blah blah blah. Only went to the track once, did like 6-7 pulls, none had traction off the line, just spun tire... silly 275 street tires haha.
But yea, 2500 for a fully built trans, and hydraulic setup, clutch, everything...
Link to my CL add.... Can i do this in here?http://providence.craigslist.org/pts/2086762929.html

97ls1s10Why did my turbo blow? Well, kind of a funny story. Used to use engine oil pressure to pressurize it, and had a Shurflo part # 8000-610-243 or something like that, as an oil SUCKING pump, sucking oil back to the engine.
I wanted less oil lines.
I made a small oil sump box, so the turbo was like a dry sump system, completely seperate from the engine.
Used the same oil return pump as an oil FEED pump. Well... it pumped way toooooo much oil. Blew the seals in the turbo, even with the restrictor. Over the course of a couple months, i blew all my oil into the charge pipes, eventually through the engine, and my oil sump tank has been dry since May!!!
So, since may, i wanted to upgrade, and just let the turbo run oil-less. It boosted great, was noise-less, and oil-less for 6 months!!!!!! And still boosted like a sum-a-ma-betch!
Now it just started to jingle jangle as the blades bouce off the inside of the housing haha. Dont worry, i took off a charge pipe, so i'm not blowing it into my engine.

Why a truck intake? Cuz it flows more than 40CFM than the LS1 style. Flows the same as the LS6 intake... and i'm crafty... i'm in the process of sexing it up. Eliminating all the extra crap on the top, and making her shiny smooth!!! Looking like a high barrel or something haha.
Oh yea, did i mention, IT WAS FREE!!!!!!!!!!! along with a ported 91mm powdercoated Throttle body????

tiresmokinV8 Why don't you buy my whole trans setup? ;) ;) :afro:

Was tempted a while back when you put the post up that your switching to and auto setup, but Im currently looking to spend less then 1500 on the tranny if I can. Thanks though.

you're still going to need:
Shifter
Bellhousing
Clutch disc and pressure plate
Flywheel
Rear Yoke
Master cylinder
slave cylinder
hydraulic clutch line.

Add up the rest of that to your 1500$~~~~ See what you'll be spending... and all for a stock tranny too....

Oh Im sorry for some reason way back when you started your t56->auto thread I thought you wanted 2500 just for the tranny, But now that I looked back through it again I realize that you wanted that for the whole swap package. Thats not a bad price then. Figured 1200-1500 for a complete takeout trans off ls1tech and ~900 for level 3 clutch kit and flywheel from monster and then Id still need the rest of the parts. If you still have it all in Feb then Ill hit you up.
