I have no personal experince, but from what I have gathered people typically notch the frame a bit, instead of cut up the pan.

what is it? 5.3? 6.0L?? Have you done anything to it?

 

5.3 with 13 k miles. right now all the after market goodness has gotten put on hold. cause I got an itch and bought and 06 busa
and not being able to leave anything alone its dropped 1.25 front and 2" rear with aftermarket rear tail and itergrated led brake/ trun signal

On the oil pan, yes. If the pan is 2" shorter the pickup will have to be also. Cut the 2" out of the center of the pan and tube.

 

Heres a little advice. Unbolt the cab and jack it up about 4 inches. It will make things alot easier.
