where is my 02 sensor supose to be located on my 94' dime?

My problem is that I bought a 94' dime with no exhaust so I bought a full exhaust from a buddy and had it put on. The only thing is that the new exhaust that I put on is from a 96' same engine and body style. but the new exhaust has 4 o2 sensors and my truck has only 1 plug for the o2 sensor. so i pluged it in to the only o2 sensor that it would reach to and it runs like crap and will die.

so does anyone have a diagram that says where the o2 sensor is supose to be compared to the 96' exhaust?

my truck is a 94' with the 4.3 liter single cab if that matters

if the o2 sensor is in the same place on the 96' exhaust do i need to get a new one for a 94'

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The o2 sensor should go where the pipes merge, before the cat.

If you would like, I have the correct Y-Pipe for a 94 4.3L CPI sitting in my garage.

thanks but I already have the exhaust on the truck but I just need to find out if the 96' 4.3 liter exhaust o2 sensor hole is in the same spot where it needs to be for my 94' 4.3

the plug on my truck doesn't match up to the one on the exhaust. So I was thinking that if I go to the parts store and get an o2 sensor for a 94' and put it in on the 96' exhaust if that would work?

thanks for all of your help and Mabey I will have to buy that Y pipe from you

How much for it with shipping?

I was looking for 20 + shipping, shipping will probably be around 15 to In. It's pretty big. No reasonable offer will be refused. It's collecting dust in my garage.

If you want, I will post a picture of where the 02 sensor goes.

I think the only problem is the 96 cat has a different flange on it.

You should just be able to install the one 02 sensor in the rear hole of the 96 Y-pipe and plug the rest of the holes.
