Just went through this with my '97. I lucked up and found a good one in a junk yard sitting in the back of a truck in good shape. There are no replacements You can get a '98 y pipe but you will have to add an O2 bung and cut the rear flange off and add some pipe or flex exhaust pipe to it as it is much shorter. As mentioned, just head to an exhaust shop and have one made or hit up your local junk yard and hope for the best.

Have an appointment for Monday to have one made. What’s 300 more into the money pit? Wife despises my truck and has no idea why I spend time making it nice. Speaking of anyone know a good place to find the door panels. That is one of the last things I need to finish my interior.

FYI, I was quoted $200 for a reputable shop to do mine back in 2008. I decided to buy $20 in exhaust pipe and do the job myself, as figured I could learn how to weld and save money in the process. I ended up spending more than $200 for 2 different shops to repair my inexperienced results (the original guy refused to touch my truck after I tried to make my own Y pipe, understandably). In my opinion you're making a good choice.

Just out of curiosity, does your factory 1997 Y pipe have the crushed section under the transmission like my 2003 used to?

They're kind of hit and miss, but your best bet on the door panels will be a junkyard. Are yours damaged or missing? My door panels are broke at the pull handle, which is pretty common. There are some threads on the forum detailing how to repair them, so that's my plan.

Yea mine are broken at the handle and drivers door on the seam. I still have them but may try to use them as a mold and fiberglass some of the repair doesn’t work.I replaced my carpet and put leather on my two front seats from Roadwire. It was pricey but I was very happy with the look and result. My cloth was pretty nasty. I love my truck but don’t understand Chevy not producing certain parts for it or any company for that matter.

Mine has the flat section on the bottom.
