Check the wheel bearings?

 

I jacked up the driver side front yesterday and spun the wheel. It made a little clicking sound like when sand is in a bearing with grease, but I checked that there was no sand in it. Would that make a loud rubbing type noise?

 

did you check and see if the wheel was hitting on anything in the back??? that was the prob w/ mine when i wrecked it...took a big notch outa the knuckle in the front(tie rod??) so yeah..check that...

 

Nothing is rubbing. I checked everything even the dust shield for the brakes to make sure it's not rubbing. The sound has gotten louder today. it went from barely noticeable 2 weeks ago to almost louder than my drive line hum.

 

The inner bearings checked out ok? Can you feel this in the steering wheel?

 

I don't feel any vibration in the steering wheel, but I can somewhat feel it in the floorboard near my left foot. I haven't physically taken off the wheel to check the bearings. How many sets of bearings are in the front wheel?

did u ever get the truck aligned after u dropped it, i would a agree with devilman, tie rods are off

 

could it poss be teh cardon joint since he has a x cab he has a 2 piece drive shaft it is poss considering that he dont feel the vibration in his steering wheel but kinda does on the floor board.. That is were i would check
