the replacment for the s10 is going to be called the colorado, they are going to keep the sonoma name, the new truck obviously has those trapezoidal styling cues from the avalance and trailblazer check out the link gonna be wierd.

I really hate those wheels, it looks like a taco in the gold pic.
I think it will look better when it comes out because the black trailblazers look really sweet.

 

Some design egghead at GM must have smoked some bad stuff to come up with this thing. I don't like it at all. It looks too much like that ugly F'n plastic thing they call the Avalanche.

bad thing is, people will buy them....i like the new trail blazers they still look american.....they look real sweat with 20's and a slight drop too ashame chevy expect 36k for one.....

The standard engine in the S-10 will be the venerable Vortec 4300 4.3L SFI V6, producing 190hp and 250lb-ft of torque. For heavy hitting S-10 owners the 4.8L V8 (270hp and 285lb-ft of torque) will be available as an option - the same as found in the Chevrolet Silverado.

they are not going to use the 4.3, they will be using the new line of inline 4,5,6 cylinders for rear wheel drives, like the new 4.2 inline 6 in the trailblazer making 270 HP and 275 lb.ft. of torque.

The drawing looks much better. But the powerplant is what is going to sell this truck. 4.8L V8. 280hp. Aftermarket friendly. Good bye Lightening, R/T. Stock good bye R/t.
Plus it will soon have the Trailblazer engine which before long will the best engine in a truck.
Have you seen the Stillen trailblazer? Im sure the front bumber kit from his will fit the S10/Colorado.
The power will be there. Isn't that what we wanted? Sure its not an eye catcher yet but just give wings west, SLP, APC, and Xenon some time it will be an eye catcher

 

I have not seen anything about a 4.8l V8 being offered in the colorado, where did you guys get that idea?

Only problem is that there isnt a release date. Plus it wont have a molded bed and the front end will look like an avalanche.
The 2003 Silverado already has this front end attached. The rest of the body remains the same.
