Does anyone have any ideas on how I can make my hood to open sideways. I dont want a diamond style where it opens on one corner. I want the hood to flip towards the driver's side.

I couldn't get it to work because when layed out my tire would have prevented the hinge from moving down. The only thing that I could think of to get it to work was door suicide hinges but I didn't want to spend the $$ for that.

If you want a suicide hood, there is a how-to on here somewhere.

so i could user the hinges from a 87 lesabre and just use a rod to hold the hood up?

Ive done this on a civic, but i never tried it on my truck. first, whatever side u want to have open, take the bolts out completely, next on the other side, loosen up those bolts until about 3 or 4 threads are left, and next, use a stock spring or whatever to support it. i dont know how it will look on a truck, but it looked pretty sweet on a civic. the hood on the civic wasnt hard to re-align afte rthis was done, so check the alignment B4 u do this.
