Non-Horlick, He actually works at Racine Journal Times... Drives this blue Saturn... It's either an LS1 or an SC1... maybe an SL1, but it's not that great of a car. He's still factory all over, performance, looks, and sound.. yet, he tries to pimp it... :gayflag:

It's no slower than a 4.3 s-10. I've got both and ran both at the track. Both are mid 16's. Both are automatics.

Just so you know, your lugnuts require more torque than his car can put out. You have two more cylinders than him. Don't be afraid to race people dammit. I have beaten so many things in my truck. 3 Cars kicked my ass...1) Corvette Z06 (that was smart) 2) Turbo intergra (started at 60mph and he was already spooled up) and 3) Camero ss. But you know what, I still race everything I see. I beat a 6.6L turbo diesel v-8 and ran neck and neck with a '03 GTS Eclipse till my governor kicked in (that's embarassing). I also beat my friends del sol with a b16a swap and t-3 turbo. And just so you know, stock our trucks have enough torque to smoke pretty much all 4 cylinders (I don't wanna hear any crap about how kung pow chicken's triple turbo 200 shot of nitrous JDM ser-v import night fart rocket with $100,000.00 invested could beat me either....no s**t. But with $100,000.00 in my truck I could put in an LT-4 with a custom turbo and kill everything. SO SHUT UP!

Pretty much any Acura, VW, and Nissan to name a few can walk an s-10. I know, my buddy has an '03 extreme 5spd. And I walk him with my diesel 4 cylinder. :stupid:

 

I have a 99 4.3 auto and I beat my dad's 01 maxima (also auto) it depends on what you have done to your truck. I couldn't beat him without my Venom 400...that thing kicks serious ASS. As for acura...what are you smoking? VW what? turbo beatle? I beat a modified jetta...nissan...maybe..I'll give you that one...

Since you guys brought up nissan. I used to own a 1993 Se-R Sentra with a Jdm Sr20De. I was running 15.02-15.1 and had 2 14.9's. Nissans dont play, i was really impressed when i first got the car. I plan on getting another one soon enough.

You are taking about a stock s-10. There are people on this site running the 1/4 mile in the 12 sec range. Like I said, it really depends on what you have done to your truck and what the "other" guy has done to their car. My dad's maxima was stock. You can get over 1000hp out of a v-6 s-10 and you know what, they got more than that out of a 4cy Geo Metro...yes ....a metro. I kid you not, they was an article about it and it was drag ready. They took it to the salt plains and kicked ass. So like I said before it all depends.....so don't come up here talking shit about turbo cars and stuff. Just let it go...

TURBO BEETLE...rsx-s I did not beat a gtx (s? maybe) eclipse. My friend has a modded eclipse (both cars are the newer ones) and they were racing at 130mph and the gtx was still pulling....can't do that in my truck. : (

All I am saying is that MOST 4 cy cars are slow as fizuk and you should be confident about racing them...Maybe I am just an ass and race everyone just to see what I can do. I don't mind getting beaten once in a while and I give props to people who can, I don't race that much anymore anyway. I have finished all the bolt-ons and I am not putting nos on my truck. I figure it is pretty fast and that is good enough for me. TDIguy I hope we can agree to dissagree or something but I tell you what, I am still diehard american cars even if all the parts are made in Canada. Hey canadia is still north america. I wasn't here to argue. I like a good debate. I too like the S10, and a couple of my work trucks are S10's. We have an old 88 iirc 2.5 5spd, and a 98 4.3 5spd. I too am not a fan of ricers(not sure where that came from or what you are implying).

(and I second the Jetta thing - I have an SS as well and I'd put my money on the Jetta - they are both modded about the same - Chips/intake) truck also has exhaust and lowered.
