Well, this is an offshoot from the "need a good laugh" thread...
Responding to the guy from the ranger forum who was trashin the Integra GSr and Accord.

I agree that more stickers than paint, un-nessecary wings, and those god forsaken wheel extensions with 13" are totally rice, and if you see one out while cruising... stomp his ass.

However, there are finely tuned machines out there... that will blow the doors off a Mustang GT... Camaro Z... and other "muscle" cars. These, should not be called rice, because it is an insult to the person or persons who have spent countless hours, and a great deal of money perfecting their rides, like we mini truckers have. Ive seen a few in my home town that I will not f*ck with, even if I dropped a 350 in my truck with a 9" locker, and every bolt on mod that money can buy... because those cars are light, nimble, and will make you look foolish if the driver knows how to hit his shift points.

just my .02

Well, lets see

Nissan's made in US. Smyrna, TN
Honda's made in US
Toyota's made in US
Mitsubishi made in Normal, Ill

Camaro= MADE IN CANADA
Ford=Made in Mexico(some) others are in US with Japanese parts

SO.. Which AMERICAN car do you want?

i believe kia has a plant in TN and Hyundai has one somewhere on the east coast. Mazda is a japanese company owned by Ford...go figure. i believe subarus are made in the midwest.

"whats the matter? all the money you spent on your truck and your still only hitting the 15 second 1/4 mile... go grow up, im using HALF the motor your using and still turning out times that would blow your mind..."

"I would still rather have an AMERICAN muscle car, because I am proud of my country and its history. If people would think like that more, more AMERICAN cars would be bought NEW, and that would give AMERICAN car makes a chance to up the level of their technology and reliability, instead, they are spending all their money trying to stay in business, because everyone is scared to buy an AMERICAN made car now a days."

thank you very much there fine sir. i couldnt agree with you any more then i do now. ever word you said there is how i feel. also i dont think that cars can truely ever be compared apples to apples.. theres just no way

man! who cares about all that technologically advanced bullshit....... when your building a v8, and you drop it in that old muscle car or s-10 or whatever and your just gettin it dialed in the right way, runnin open headers reachin your hand in and rappin the throttle on the carb and the windows in the garage are pushin in and out every time you rev it........THAT gets my blood boiling. i mean sure, if you like the sound of built weed whackers good for you more power to ya. but iam more of a v8 man myself......

I love american muscle as much as the next guy but
i agree...i've said this before...i test drove a stock N/A supra 3.0L v6....i wouldn't line up with this car with my s10 if yo paid me. this car was an 89 and honestly the fastest car i've ever driven. There was a guy on here that stated something i 100% agree with:

how dare honda produce a car that runs for ever and gets great milage.

Also, i see no reason to hate on japanesse cars. I agree the ones with huge wings and a 100 stickers are ridiculous..but let's remember that it's the owner of the car that's done this.. and not honda/toyota/mistubishi but still done right..these car can be made very quick...

just what i think anyway..

Just remember that not ll jap motors are 4cylinder. Ever driven a Lexus Gs430 or Ls430. For a Luxury Sedan these mutha ******* will move. Both will put down a mid 14 which is good in a 4000 lbs car. 4.3 ltr 300 hp v8. Our 4.3 ltrs are only putting 195. Shit the new Honda TL is a 3.2 and pumping 270 hp N/a. Thats some respectuful numbers there. When has Chevrolet ever mad a Naturally aspirated v6 smaller than 4 ltrs that has that many horsies. NEVER.

Just remember, that luxury sedans are supposed to be fast, Lexus aimes those cars at potential Benz and BMW buyers, so they need to be fast. S10 trucks are not supposed to be fast, they are made to be truck, they are designed to perform as trucks, which they do rather well. Let's not mention the price range of each. Thus, the two shouldn't be compared to each other.

Over the last year, Ive become more and more excited about the technology that is appearing in these import cars, and Im a V8 owner, lover, you name it. Face it, this is future of hot rodding.

I did a website for a local import shop around here and I became good friends with him. Hes got a 671rwhp Supra single turbo and until you've actually experienced 29psi you really can't talk. I was very skeptical about what it was capable of before I got in the car. I almost shit my pants...my 425hp blazer had nothing on this car.

My dad, the most discriminatory non-american import hating person on this planet, was dumbfounded when he went for a ride and saw it throw 653rwhp on a mobile dyno at a car show. The night before he couldnt imagine anymore than 400HP.

A guy who I met thru the shop has a 91 CRX Stock bottom end B16 motor, turbo, AEM standalone....runs 12.20's...whats not to brag about that?

I was at the Ultimate Street Car Challenge in Sept. 10 cars. 15 events ranging from 1/4 mile, Horsepower, roadcourse, etc... 9 Import cars, 1 Detroit Muscle (850+rwhp supercharged viper) Mr. Viper thought he had it in the bag against these puny imports. He came in 5th I believe. Got beat out by an eclipse, a supercharged 350Z, a Supra, and a Kit Car.

The baddest "rice" out there rolls on two wheels. I can think of one in particular that beats me every time at the dragstrip. Got to stay away from him the first couple of rounds and hope he loses a race- doesn't happen too often. As far as the cars go I haven't lost to one yet, maybe someone should show them how to do it.
