Question about shackle bushing part number.

2002 ZR2 pickup. I'm replacing the leaf spring shackles. I got what seemed like a good deal on Amazon getting two shackles with frame bushing for 31.99. I also purchased the two bushings that go into the leaf spring in that same order. They were AC Delco. They fit the leaf spring perfectly. The ones that came with the shackle are too tight to fit.. The frame hole is 1.51 inches. The bushing that came with the shackles is 1.58 inches. I guess I'm going to have to learn a lesson about trying to save money with these Amazon aftermarket parts.

My question is, can anyone tell me the part number for the bushing that goes through the frame? I looked on Rock auto and they say upper and lower but, I'm not sure if they are talking about the leaf springs themselves or what? From what I've seen the shackle always comes with the bushing. I tried looking in the service manual that Beandip has posted as a sticky but, it seems that no longer exists.

I have replaced the shackle leaf and frame bushings in 2 - RWD S-series trucks in the last year; a 1996 & 2002. The upper and lower bushings are the same at the shackle. Front leaf bushing has greater OD. Not certain if same is true for 4WD. Last job I purchased 2 - ACDELCO 45L0017 Leaf Spring Shackle & 2 - ACDELCO 45G15022 Leaf Spring Shackle Bushing.

I ordered 2 AC Delco 45G15022 to go with the two shackles. I did slide it in just to check. It slid in quite easily until it hit the inner side. I didn't want to press it in just in case this was the wrong bushing size. I expected the bushing to be a tighter fit where it entered the frame. What was your experience there? This is the information I was looking for so I'm really glad you responded.

The 2 – jobs I mentioned entailed 10 – bushings. Force required varied greatly between locations. IIRC, 1 or 2 of the frame bushings pressed in quite easily. There is not much surface area contact with the frame bushings, so that does not seem unusual. If they seem too loose to you, flare or stake the non-flanged side a bit after installation.
