Police Interceptors are Fords, it's a Ford trademarked name.
The Chevy's are just Caprices, or Caprices with the 9C1 package.

Everything looks good so far but i only have one question. Why did you tig the cups? Just practicing or what mig would have been plenty strong

 

Why not?

I often don't feel like pulling the MIG welder out and setting it up when the TIG is ready to go. Only time I use the MIG now days is on the vehicle really.

Heres the two axles next to each other. I'll tell you right now, I never want to do this again. This car is basically one big design flaw. Check out the shit all over the axle. Took all day to get the axle and the sheetmetal crossmember out.

I've been sitting on this axle for like 4 years now. Good to see it going into something.

Damn, that's alot of annoying crap.
You'd think for it being a police car they would've chosen a car that had parts like shocks and ball joints, etc, that were easy to remove/replace.

Awesome welds, I wish I had a TIG

 

Okay I have no real updates for the car. I've spent a few days brainstorming, and then actually doing. I had to narrow the frame and notch it a bit right where the axle goes, and the gas tank placement made it pretty difficult to do. I've got it about half way done, I just haven't taken pictures because it looks rough and unfinished. But I should be a bit farther along tomorrow and maybe have some pictures.

But I have also been working on this bike for the last week or so.

im curious to see how you mount up that jaguar IRS. The rear wheels are going to look clean as hell with that inboard brake setup.

 

The mounting will be pretty simple. Its the notch/narrow that sucks, and making the bag and shock mounts fit I'm sure will be. As well as everything else the owner wants stuck under there.

 

Can't wait to see this thing finished!

That bike is badass Seth. What's the engine for it from?

Its a Briggs and Stratton 5 horse flat head. Pretty standard small industrial engine. Lot of aftermarket for them though, they are big in Jr. Dragsters. I have an 8 horse flathead for my bike.

Got some custom cup holders.

Built a crossmember and hung the axle.

A little rear wheel camber.
