I just started driving my truck and found a bad oil leak commin from my oil pressure sensor so i took the distrib. out and fixed the prob. Now that the distrib. is back in it wont start. took it back out... put the #1 cylinder to top dead center and it still wont start....gave it some gas and cranked it over and huge backfire out the tailpipes...????????anyone know what is up?

Yup it's off... Set TDC with a locator not a finger or screw driver... Get with the times, lol... Then set the rotor between the 1/3 cyl and set the wires on teh correct order.. 90% of the time somebody comes to me to set the timming the wires are off...
Alright well waiting for replies on here I went back out and tripple checked the wires and they were right...so I took the cap back off, then lifted the distrib. out and turned the rotor 180 degrees, put it all back together and it fired right up.
