I have a 89 s10 2.5tbi heres what it does.

I go to start it cranks cranks cranks even when i let it prime.

if i try to start it by giving it gas helps a alil but still takes about 4-6 tries. Then i have to stay on the gas till it warms it other wise it will spudder and die. When i try to drive it after its been warmed up it jumps, spudder what ever you wanna call it.I have to be barley on the gas and it will sometimes do it.Even if i try full throttle it still spudders but when i have it floored and i let out of it a little. It will pull like normal like 75%throttle something like that.

I would have put it after the hose, but that should at least tell you what the pump is pushing, the filter could always be plugged up and you will see good fuel pressure.

If the relay contacts are dirty/ corroded the relay wont act good either, if it takes a bit O cranking to start it good chance that the relay is bad or dirty contacts. The oil pressure switch kicks the pump on at 4psi (or should).
